Handling and Care

handling & care

All of my handmade ceramics are stoneware or porcelain that are mostly thrown on the wheel. They are decorated with glazes mixed by hand using my own recipes and fired at 1260 degree celsius. They are food safe.

Unlike mass-produced ceramics, they are made carefully by hand and washing them by hand is always recommended. They may be put in the Dishwasher, but over a longer period this may cause changes in the glazes. The gold lustre rim on some pieces may deteriorate if put in the dishwasher.

Please avoid using in the microwave oven, there is a high metal content in the clay and in some glazes.

Pots may be put in an oven to warm, but please put into a cold oven and heat up with the oven.

Please avoid the extreme hot or cold conditions such as using in a freezer, which could cause thermal shock and may result in breakage.
